Robert Lewandowksi is gone, but who will replace him? At least one attacker for the future is apparently approaching Munich.
The move from storm talent Mathys Tel from Stade Rennes to FC Bayern is getting closer and closer. The French sports newspaper “L’Équipe” reported early on Saturday evening: The transfer is about to be completed, Tel will switch to the German record champions for 30 million euros including bonuses and sign a five-year contract. Tel was therefore no longer in the Rennes squad.
The 17-year-old French super talent is considered one of the most promising youngsters in Europe. At Bayern, Tel could initially mature as a backup. First of all, the Munich team plan to absorb the departure of world footballer Robert Lewandowski with the established forces and an adapted style of play.
It had already been reported that Bayern had put together a transfer package for the teenager worth 30 million euros including bonus payments and were on the verge of a breakthrough in negotiations for the captain of France’s U17 national team. Tel could join coach Julian Nagelsmann’s team as early as next week after completing the trip to the USA.
