It was not easy for Telstar in the home match against Heracles Almelo. The team had little possession of the ball, but created many opportunities. However, the Almeloërs struck hard and won through goals from Emil Hansson, Rigino Cicilia and Nikolai Laursen: 0-3.
There was one change to Telstar’s base lineup. Anwar Bensabouh, who excelled against Almere City, will be out for the next four to six weeks. He was replaced by Mihkel Ainsalu. Heracles started stronger without creating big chances. Telstar got better and better in the game and got a huge opportunity through Koen Blommestijn.
The attacker reacted sharply from a back pass from Heracles, but goalkeeper Michael Brouwer was barely able to save. It was Blommestijn who also created danger moments later. His header went just wide. Glynor Plet, the captain, seemed to lead Telstar after half an hour. His effort was just stopped by Brouwer. Despite the number of chances, the score was still equal at half time.

Heracles strikes
The Velsenaren started the second half excellently and had two chances within five minutes. First Jonathan Mulder created danger with a measured cross. Here Heracles got away well, for no one could run into it. Then it was Christos Giousis who scored the 1-0, but he headed the ball in too softly. It was the visitors who took the lead against the ratio.
Emil Hansson scored the opening goal behind Ronald Koeman Jr. 0-1. Nikolai Laursen, another striker, should have doubled the score. Face to face with Koeman Jr. the Dane pushed the ball just wide of the goal. Telstar, however, did not give in and got opportunities through Giousis and substitute Delvechio Blackson. Just before time, Rigino Cicilia closed the game completely by making the 2-0. Blackson scored a penalty, which was used by Laursen: 0-3.
