According to Iltalehti, two Mikkelin Kampparien ice ball players are suspected of embezzlement.
– Let’s say that the investigation is ongoing, comments the crime commissioner, head of the investigation Timo Häkkinen from the Eastern Finland Police.
The title of the investigation is gross embezzlement.
– The suspects have already been heard, Häkkinen says.
– The case will proceed in the coming months (for the prosecutor).
The punishment for embezzlement can be a fine or imprisonment. The scale of imprisonment for aggravated embezzlement is from four months to four years.
Embezzlement is considered aggravated if the target is very valuable property or a large amount of funds, says the police on their website.
