Update in England’s 2nd division
With a market value increase from 4 million to 10 million euros, Jordan Beyer (22) is one of the biggest winners in the interim update of the championship, in which 138 player values of the English second division were updated on Friday. Few players have grown more than the central defender, who was loaned out by Borussia Mönchengladbach.
Beyer, who according to the current status will still be on the pitch at FC Burnley until the end of the season, was able to convince in defense alongside Taylor Harwood-Bellis (21), who was also upgraded by 2 million euros to 15 million euros.
The 10 million euros that Beyer is now estimated at mean third place among all central defenders in the league – behind teammate and Sheffield’s Anel Ahmedhodzic (23), who climbs by 6 million euros to 16 million euros. Beyer’s Gladbach contract runs until 2026. However, it is far from impossible that he will stay in Lancashire permanently.
Top scorers Akpom and Gyökeres are on the rise – João Pedro at the top
The two top scorers in the league were also able to improve, and fans of FC St. Pauli can still remember one of them very well. The former FCSP loan player Viktor Gyokeres (24), who is the second best shooter in the Championship with 18 goals for Coventry, has been upgraded by 3 million to 8 million euros. Chuba Akpom (27), who scored six more goals at Middlesbrough, has reached a career high of €7 million after his valuation had fallen below the €3 million mark after a long period of stagnation last year.
New League Most Valuable Player Watford-Striker Joao Pedro (21), who after relegation with the “Hornets” currently has little prospect of a quick return to the Premier League, but was recently named as a candidate for a move to a top club. With an increase of 4 million to 24 million euros, the Brazilian overtakes his teammate Ismaïla Sarr (25 | -2 to 20 million euros) in the league ranking.

This is how the Transfermarkt market values work
The Transfermarkt market values are created taking into account various pricing models and a strong involvement of the Transfermarkt community, which deals with the values in detailed discussions. The transfer market market values are not to be equated with the transfer fees actually paid.
The goal is not to predict a price, but an expected value. When determining the market value, both individual transfer modalities and situational framework conditions are relevant to a certain extent. Examples of this are listed here. Transfermarkt does not use an algorithm (for detailed market value definition).
