Champions, Lille 1-2 Chelsea: penalty from Yilmaz and goals from Pulisic and Azpilicueta

The 2-0 at Stamford Bridge put Chelsea in a carriage – overwhelmed by Abramovich’s troubles – but qualifying for the quarter-finals of the Champions League came with some thrills. Just for a few minutes, the time elapsed between Yilmaz’s goal from a penalty (38 ‘) and Pulisic’s equalizer (48’) and that between Xeka’s post (63 ‘) and Azpilicueta’s 2-1 (71’) . Tuchel’s Chelsea pass, as expected.

The result of the first leg obviously weighed heavily on the attitude of the two teams from the very first minutes of the match. With two goals to recover, Lille couldn’t wait and didn’t wait, in fact.
