PSG striker Leo Messihe experienced another disappointment in the Champions League. After leaving Barcelona for not reaching a renewal agreement, the attacker ended up in Paris with a clear objective: to win his fifth continental title together with Neymar and Mbappé.

The Argentine, who went from more to less and was not as transcendental as expected, returned to stay in the round of 16as happened last season with Barça precisely against his current team, Mauricio Pochettino’s PSG.

The ex of the FC Barcelona achieved, in fact, a negative record: It is the first time in which the player has not reached the quarterfinals in the highest competition in a row in a total of 15 seasons at the highest club level.

An unfinished lace

Messi did not have his best night, a bit in line with the rest of the team, but the evidence speaks for itself: the player does not quite fit in a PSG built on the basis of millions and that at the hands of Mauricio Pochettino he has not finished competing on big days.

Rosario is one of the most historic players in the competition (has scored 133 goals in 165 official matches), but in recent times he has turned his back on it: he has experienced seven disappointments since 2015, when he won his last title alongside Luis Enrique in Barcelona.
