Champions League | “Shit questions!”: Annoyed Kroos breaks off TV interview

Toni Kroos began his live interview after the Champions League triumph overjoyed – after just 45 seconds he broke it off annoyed.

“You had 90 minutes to think about sensible questions, then you ask me two shitty questions – that’s crazy,” said Real Madrid’s long-running favorite to the amazed “ZDF” reporter Nils Kaben. He had asked why Real was in such distress.

“It’s not surprising,” Kroos complained after the flattering 1-0 (0-0) win over Liverpool in Paris, “this is the final here! It’s really bad, really bad, really.”

The camera had already panned away when the argument on the field could still be heard: “First you ask two negative questions,” Kroos shouted: “You know straight away that you’re from Germany.”

It was Kroos’ fifth triumph in the premier class, catching up with record holder Cristiano Ronaldo.

“It will definitely have to settle down for a few days. I’ve won this trophy a number of times, but this is a very special day for me because all my children are in the stadium this time,” said the 32-year-old. “I can hardly describe how beautiful it is.”
