Semi-finalists have been determined
Manchester followed Villarreal, Real Madrid and Liverpool as the last team to reach the semi-finals. Villarreal eliminated Bayern, Liverpool prevailed against Benfica Lisbon, Real kept the upper hand against Chelsea. City are now up against Real Madrid in the semi-finals. The first leg is on 26./27. April played, the second leg on 3./4. May.
Atletico strong in a duel
A week after the 1-0 win in the first leg, however, Manchester had some problems with the Spaniards, who were strong in the tackle and who had several good chances, particularly in the second half.
