Thousands of Lazio fans are in Munich for the Champions League game against FC Bayern. Before the game, an incident is said to have occurred in the Hofbräuhaus.

Fascist supporters of Lazio Rome caused a scandal in the Bavarian capital before the Champions League game against Bayern Munich in the evening (9 p.m.). In videos circulating on social networks, around 100 Roman supporters can be seen chanting fascist slogans and shouting “Duce, Duce” in the Munich Hofbräuhaus.

In addition, several Lazio hooligans showed the so-called Roman salute, which is similar to the Hitler salute. The videos circulating on the Internet caused outrage and were strongly condemned by the sports commissioner of the city of Rome. “The images of Lazio fans singing hymns in honor of the Duce and showing the Roman salute in Munich during the Champions League game are a disgrace for Lazio, for all fans and for the city of Rome. That is why I condemn in the strongest possible terms “What can be seen and is unfortunately going around the world in these hours,” said Alessandro Onorato.

Such scenes have occurred again and again at Lazio games in the past. There is a larger group of right-wing supporters in the club’s fan base who also use the SS symbol. The club is officially called SS (Societa Sportiva) Lazio.
