The first leg takes place on 5./6. April in Spain, the second leg will be on 12./13. held in Munich in April.
In the semifinals against Liverpool or Benfica Lisbon
In the semifinals, Bayern would meet the winner of the game Benfica Lisbon against Liverpool.
Bayern had already played against the Portuguese in the group phase and won both games (4-0, 5-2).
The possible semi-final pairings at a glance:
Manchester City/Atlético Madrid – Chelsea FC/Real Madrid
Benfica Lisbon/Liverpool FC – Villarreal FC/Bayern Munich
The semi-finals will be played on April 26th and 27th. April and on 3./4. held in May. The final will take place in Paris on May 28th.
Dortmund, Leipzig and Wolfsburg eliminated
Bayern were the only Bundesliga representatives to make it into the knockout rounds of the premier class. Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig and VfL Wolfsburg did not survive the group stage.
The Munich team had won all six of their games in the preliminary round. In the round of 16, coach Julian Nagelsmann’s team prevailed against Red Bull Salzburg. A tedious 1:1 in the first leg was followed by a spectacular 7:1 in the second leg in Munich.
