The Rottendorf-based clothing group S.Oliver Group announced the resignation of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Volker Christ on Tuesday. The chief financial officer is leaving “the management of the group to devote himself to new challenges,” the company said. In spring 2020, Christ moved from the automotive supplier Vibracoustic to the parent company of the brands S.Oliver, QS by S.Oliver, Triangle, Comma, Liebeskind Berlin and Copenhagen Studios.
According to the S.Oliver Group, Christ’s previous tasks will be taken over by Kai Bauknecht with immediate effect. Bauknecht has been with the company since 2017 and most recently held the position of finance director.
In a statement, the group acknowledged the achievements of the former CFO: “Over the past two and a half years, Volker Christ has helped to shape the restructuring and realignment of the S.Oliver Group at an extremely challenging time,” the company said. “The multiple lockdowns caused by the pandemic in 2020/21 showed that securing liquidity is an important element in the company’s financial management. Important initiatives were initiated and implemented here under the leadership of Volker Christ.”
