Cepsa fuels the price war with express discounts at its 1,500 gas stations

Cepsa responds to Repsol’s commercial offensive and fuels the commercial war at gas stations. The company has decided to launch express discounts and extend the discounts until December. discounts up to 10 euro cents per liter of fuel for customers of its loyalty programs, Cepsa Gow (for individuals) and Starresa (for transport professionals).

Until now, Cepsa had resisted improving the discounts it applied (between 5 and 6 cents per liter) and had focused on reinforcing its strategy with a system of alliances with 40 companies (El Corte Inglés, Amazon, Ikea, Mediamarkt, Ouigo, Fnac, Telepizza…) to complement their own direct discounts with additional discounts for purchases at these partner companies.

The new promotion, valid from today until November 30, is applicable on any type of fuel (gasoline, diesel and LPG) and is available in the 1,500 service stations that make up the network Cepsa in Spain. Users of the group’s two loyalty programs will access discounts of 10 cents and new users who sign up now will receive an extra discount of 10 euros as a welcome.

This same week Cepsa and Endesa announced the expansion of their alliance to jointly promote the large electric car charging business and to challenge their major rivals such as Iberdrola and Repsol in the development of electric mobility. Electricity and oil have launched a joint offer to add their respective networks of charging points – making them compatible, but keeping them independent – and to offer cross discounts to customers of both groups.
