CEO Tjeerd Jegen is leaving

The Telgter textile discounter Takko Fashion has to look for a new boss. On Wednesday, the retailer announced the departure of CEO Tjeerd Jegen. The manager, who took over the position at the beginning of May last year, is leaving the company “on good terms” to “dedicate himself to new tasks at the Dutch bicycle manufacturer Accell Group,” according to a statement.

Until a successor is found, Takko is now relying on a team solution. According to the company, the current managing directors Thomas Füllhaas (COO), Stephan Hungeling (CFO) and Sebastian Weber (CPO) will take over Jegen’s previous areas of responsibility as co-CEOs until further notice. They would be supported in this by the advisory board chaired by Dirk Van den Berghe.

Van den Berghe, who was appointed chairman of the advisory board last month, paid tribute to the outgoing CEO: “Tjeerd recently successfully led Takko Fashion through the transaction to the new shareholder structure. In addition, together with the management team, he has aligned the company for future profitable growth,” he explained in a statement.
