The Planning Bureau has adjusted inflation expectations upwards: for this year from 3.9 percent to 4.4 percent, and for next year from 3.4 percent to 4.1 percent. The subsequent pivot index violations are also pushed forward as a result.
If the prognosis is correct, it means that benefits and civil servant wages will be increased twice next year. The pivot index would be reached in February and June. The benefits are increased the month after an overrun, the wages of government employees the following month.
