Durant back – Nets lose anyway
Kevin Durant made his comeback for the Brooklyn Nets after a nearly two-month injury break. The superstar was again the best shooter on the field with 31 points, but he couldn’t avoid the 107:113 defeat against Miami. Bottom of the table in the east, the Nets suffered another setback in the fight for direct playoff spots.
The Heat, on the other hand, extended their lead in the Eastern Conference ahead of the Chicago Bulls, who had previously lost 124-130 to the Atlanta Hakws.
Doncic with 41 points – Mavericks win over Warriors
In the Western Conference, the Dallas Mavericks celebrated their third win in a row with a 122:113 win against the Golden State Warriors and are thus clearly on course for the playoffs. Luka Doncic excelled with 41 points, ten rebounds and nine assists. Maxi Kleber did not play due to an ankle injury.
Lakers continue to slide
The Los Angeles Lakers are still in crisis and after the 111:132 defeat in the city duel against the Los Angeles Clippers, they still have to worry about the playoffs. The Lakers around superstar LeBron James conceded their fourth bankruptcy in a row and remain in ninth place after just one win in the past eight games. Reggie Jackson was the best man with 36 points for the Clippers, who won all four games of the season against the Lakers.
