Cellophane for precariousness, article by Emma Riverola

It is sold as an “exchange of experiences, work and life & rdquor ;. Expressions are used such as “revolutionary way of life”, space to “create synergies”, “use of life” … But, cleaning it of poetry, the ‘coliving’ does not stop being the share a flat forever. The option when, simply, you cannot assume a rent alone. They are also noted as a trend buy clothes from second hand or take advantage surplus food of restaurants. And all these proposals are positive if they are adopted from an ecological and supportive conscience or as a transitory way of life, not so much if the need is the only engine for their adoption.

The dissatisfaction is evident. A good part of the mental health problems of young people are linked to precariousness. The instability, the feeling of living on a wire, the fear of not being able to build a solid future… Wrapping the problem in cellophane only hides the concern. The impotence is still there, multiplied by the deception. And it’s still explosive material. With each new proposal, it is only necessary to determine whether it is a solution or a patch for a problem. That the embellishment of marketing does not hide that we are talking about misery.
