Celine Dion cancels concerts in Germany in 2024

Celine Dion has canceled her European tour for 2024, including all Germany concerts and the one in Austria. The organizer announced this Friday (May 26th). The performances in Cologne, Munich, Berlin, Hamburg, Mannheim and Vienna are therefore affected.

Tickets purchased for the scheduled concert dates will be refunded. Ticket holders should contact the advance booking office from which they purchased the tickets.

Official read: “It is with great disappointment that we have announced today the cancellation of all remaining dates of Celine Dion’s Courage World Tour for this year and next that are currently on sale. As the world recovers from the pandemic, the artist continues to be treated for a rare condition that is preventing her from performing. Celine Dion is still working hard on her recovery, but is currently unable to adequately prepare for the rest of the tour, which would have taken the singer to five German cities in spring 2024. Promoters really hope that one day Celine will be able to visit all of the planned tour cities in Europe to perform for her amazing fans, but that time just hasn’t come.”

Dion: “I’m so sorry to disappoint you all once again. I’m working really hard to regain my strength, but touring can be very tiring even when you’re 100% fit. It’s not fair to you guys to keep postponing the shows and while it breaks my heart it’s best if we cancel everything now until I’m really ready to be on stage again. I want you all to know that I won’t give up… and I can’t wait to see you again.”

Celine Dion suffers from Stiff Person Syndrome: a rare autoimmune disorder that causes back and leg cramps and pain. Under stress, the muscles contract – and become stiff as a board. There is no cure for the disease, but the cramps can be controlled with medication.
