The Granada athlete Celia Bellicourt, 22, died this Thursday after suffering a quad accident in the town of Arenas del Rey (Granada).
The quad in which the young sprinter and jumper was traveling with a companion fell into the Las Rajas ravine, leaving the vehicle trapped in a crevasseand receiving the Emergency notice before 1:00 p.m.
Bellicourt died on the spotwhile his companion had to be transferred with a medical helicopter to a hospital.
“There are no goodbyes, wherever you are, you will be in our hearts,” the Nerja Athletics Club published on its social networks after learning the news of the tragic death of the young athlete.

Celia Bellicourt, a native of Almuñécar and member of the Trops Cueva de Nerja club, became a national relay medalist. Furthermore, she was studying Higher Technician in Teaching and Socio-Sports Animation (TSEAD).
