Celebrity casserole for the revue record in the Friedrichstadt-Palast

By Martina Hafner

It was nothing less than a superlative show. 14 million euros production costs for “Falling | In Love” at the Friedrichstadt-Palast, 100 million Swarovski crystals on stage. Rarely have people been so excited for a premiere.

That’s why there was a big crowd of celebrities on the red carpet, everyone wanted to at least take a look at fashion czar Jean Paul Gaultier (71), who curated the revue.

This means that the Frenchman drew the designs for 80 percent of the costumes and is also responsible for the overall look of the production.

The new Grand Show promises to break all records. Over 100,000 tickets have already been booked and the premiere is hopelessly sold out. “We were literally overrun,” said palace director Berndt Schmidt (59) happily.

All of Berlin graced the red carpet, including Senator for Culture Joe Chialo, Franziska Giffey and Klaus Lederer from politics. The still sprightly Holocaust contemporary witness Margot Friedländer (101) also came to the glamorous review, like many ambassadors from all over the world.

And of course numerous stars from film and television such as Heike Makatsch, Dieter Hallervorden, Ella Finally, Caroline Beil and many, many more.

The show “Falling | In Love” is now scheduled to run for two years, only then will there be the next premiere at the Palast.
