Sari Peltoniemi’s death is mourned by Vesala and Veitola, as well as many other people in the public and art fields.

Sad news children’s and youth author Sari Peltoniemi death shocks many. One of them is a multi-talent in the music industry Paula Vesalawhich mourns the death of the author Instagramin his publication.
In his post, he remembers Peltoniemi, with whom he has a special history.
– In addition to being a prolific children’s and youth writer, Sari also played the bass, sang and wrote the lyrics to Noitalinna Huraa! in the band whose c-cassettes and vinyls I found in the library in middle school. In the end, it happened that together with PMMP we made a version of the band’s song titled Kid brother. Pikkuveli is a text by Sari Peltoniemi.
– The great popularity of Little Brother must have tired Sari at times, when the author was often referred to through this one song lyric. After all, he did so much more, Vesala points out in his publication.
Finally, Vesala sends his condolences to Peltoniemi’s loved ones and shares one more special memory of his friend.
– Sari also sent me a batch of her books. At least a thousand ships, and his magical, imaginative worlds and the darkness lurking among all the clutter of life spoke immediately. That same voice enchanted me in the book, which had spoken in the fantastic and strange worlds of the songs.

The artist’s publication was reached by, among others, the journalist Maria Veitolanwho also stopped for a moment to remember the author in the comment field of Vesala’s post.
– I found the Witch’s Castle in Huraa! in middle school in Imatra. I bought the vinyl from Fazer’s record store. The inner bag of the vinyl said that you can get the lyrics in the mail from Sari.
– I wrote to Sari, asked for lyrics and in the return mail I received a small thank you letter and photocopied sheets with the lyrics of the songs in typescript and all the little drawings of animals, for example, Veitola writes and finally wishes Peltoniemi a good journey to the afterlife.
In addition to Veitola and Vesala, condolences have been left on social media by, among others, the singer Mira Bullethost Laura Haimilaa writer Eppu Nuotio as well as an emerging artist Plush.
Peltoniemi was said to have fallen asleep on July 14, exhausted by a long illness, surrounded by his family. Peltoniemi was 60 years old when he died.
Peltoniemi is known for its versatile literary production. Peltoniemi’s first work Discovery hiker Kukka Kalinen was published in 2000. A fantasy novel published a year later Moose and a children’s novel published in 2002 Kukka Kalinen on the school road were Finlandia Junior candidates.
Peltoniemi has received the Tirlittan award from the Norwegian Writers’ Union for his entire production. The award is given in recognition of the author’s production so far and work for the benefit of Finnish literature.
