Celebrate the 100th: ALBERTO & the 3D bike

Alberto turns 100. In the fashion industry, this is considered a small eternity. A cause for celebration. And that’s exactly what ALBERTO does – with exciting collaborations and an extraordinary supporting program. The latter can be taken literally in the current team play. Together with the Magdeburg bike manufacturer URWAHN, the pants label is launching an anniversary bike that stands out from everything that is known.

Discover the unknown

Unconventional, technology-driven, unique. This is what ALBERTO has stood for for 100 years now. That’s why the pants label regularly works with players who create concrete benefits. A fact that is by no means limited to the selection of materials for the iconic pants. With a lot of pioneering spirit, congenial symbioses are created that constantly set new standards. As in the case of the anniversary bike, which was created in cooperation with URWAHN to mark the anniversary. What unites the two labels is the pursuit of sustainable mobility paired with uncompromising function and style.

let yourself out

An idealism that not only resonates in ALBERTO’s bike pants, but also in the manufacture of every URWAHN bike. As a result, the anniversary bike is a downright electrifying gravel bike. The steel-made, world’s first 3D-printed e-bike with a special soft-ride structure weighs just 14.8 kilograms – but knows how to impress with a full 40Nm of torque on the rear wheel. It goes without saying that only the most innovative components are used in the equipment. The precise electric drive from MAHLE, for example, as well as the 250 Wh battery, which ensures a range of up to 80 kilometers. Incidentally, both were hidden completely invisibly by URWAHN in the skeleton of the steel work of art. Anyone who is still not satisfied with this has the option of mounting another 208 Wh battery on the down tube. Thanks to its drinking bottle shape, this one is also completely unobtrusive. In addition, the Shimano GRX 600 1-11-F rear derailleur can be controlled wirelessly via Bluetooth, thus ensuring a very direct gear ratio. Handlebars and bearings of the ALBERTO anniversary bike come from Acros. Another highlight are the Lightskin LED eyes integrated in the steel frame.

Strikingly subtle in design

The perfect mix of design and function as well as the focus on the essential and good is also the design motto. The puristic asphalt black matt finish in powder coating is a visual treat. The abstract design components in ALBERTO bike yellow, such as a graphic of the topography of Mönchengladbach, the founding date of the ALBERTO company in Roman characters or the location coordinates of the headquarters on the frame or rims, set small accents. As always, the elements are not just decorative accessories, but also have a specific purpose. Reflective at night, they provide more visibility and protection. Typically ALBERTO. And typically URWAHN.
