The Dutch population will continue to grow in the coming decades, but less rapidly than before. The Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) expects that the Netherlands will have 18 million inhabitants next year, and in 2037 this will be 19 million. The growth is mainly due to migration from abroad and because people are getting older.
