Companies with ten to fifty employees in particular applied for support. This concerns 65 percent of these companies. Of the companies with one person employed, 30 percent appealed to a support measure.
Most companies made use of a bridging scheme for self-employed entrepreneurs (Tozo). Relatively often, an appeal was also made to a tax deferral scheme. Small and medium-sized enterprises mainly made use of the wage cost scheme and somewhat less of the deferral of tax payments.
Halfway through this year, the total subsidy for wage costs and fixed costs amounted to 34 billion euros.
The statistical office also notes that the use of corona support measures is highest on the Wadden Islands. A number of cities in North Holland also stand out, such as Amsterdam and Beverwijk. Many companies also made use of the emergency aid in the Limburg municipalities of Valkenburg aan de Geul, Vaals and Maastricht. Use was lowest in Rozendaal and Lopik.
