In addition to his programs for the public broadcaster, Özcan Akyol currently also stars as a regular guest in Today Inside, the most watched talk show in the Netherlands. Most viewers like to see him there and Catherine Keyl is also a fan. However, she fears that he has come into the picture a little too much lately.

Catherine thinks Özcan is basically doing well. She has been a guest in his program Sterren op het Doek. “I think he’s very good, very good. He had prepared himself very well with me,” she says in New Revue†
The presenter states that he can also put himself well in his interview guests. “I think that’s really nice. Very few people can do that. Did he get out of me what he wanted out of me? Yes. Too much, actually. I’ve said a lot more than I wanted to, that’s the sign of a good interviewer.”
‘Watch out for overkill!’
Yet Catherine is also critical. “If I could give him some advice? Be a little careful about being on TV too much. I get that, but you have to dose it a bit. I understand that the temptation is great if you are invited, but I think your shelf life will last longer if you don’t sit everywhere.”
She finds it commendable that Özcan continues to give his opinion despite all the threats. “Whoever gives his opinion thinks: what kind of shit am I getting all over me again? In that sense, everything is affected by it.”
