Together with Denmark, the Netherlands will definitely supply a lot of F-16 fighter planes to Ukraine, which is unique. Very unwise, thinks Catherine Keyl. She saw René van der Gijp in Today Inside asking for understanding for the Russian point of view and that has inspired her, she writes in her Telegraaf column.

Eight years of war

Catherine now also joins the debate. “Because I watched VI, René van der Gijp brought me to another subject that I had wanted to discuss here for a long time: the war in Ukraine.”

According to the presenter, women and mothers must “stand up against the fact that thousands of young people’s lives are being sacrificed in this war on both sides.” “René said he thought the war might go on like this for another eight years. I think that if no one does anything, this war will last until the end of our days.”

‘Now those F-16s again’

According to Catherine, the delivery of F-16 fighter jets is really wrong. “Stop the arms race! Now those F-16s again! Sarkozy, the former president of France, also thinks it should stop. He (…) was immediately labeled ‘insane’ and ‘Russian influencer’.”

According to Catherine, we just have to accept it a little. “Even if Russia loses, the country has not lost. The Russians will never admit that. And we pay high prices for energy.”
