Catherine Keyl should not think about joining the Thierry Baudet talk show Forum Inside, just like her former 5 Hour Show bosom friend Viola Holt. “No!”
Viola Holt has taken a radically different turn in life during the corona crisis. The former presenter of The 5 Hour Show just does not believe that the earth is flat, but it is all close to it. Last month she joined the Thierry Baudet talk show Forum Inside, after she had already attended one of his corona protests.
Catherine refuses Thierry
It can’t go in with Catherine Keyl. She presented The 5 Hour Show alternately with Viola and… bosom friend? That is of course meant with a wink. Those women were really at each other’s throats. They were busier at one point bashing each other than their broadcasts.
Anyway: Viola has been renamed opperwappie by Angela de Jong. Would Catherine join the Forum Inside just like Viola? “No, because I do not agree with the vision of Forum for Democracy,” she says at Omroep Flevoland.
People bashing
Catherine really can’t think of any reason why she should join Thierry. “If I don’t support someone’s message… If you guys were busy bashing people all week, yes, I wouldn’t come either. Why would I?”
Presenter Marco Verhagen: “So if you are asked for something, you check whether it is something for you and whether you can say something that will help someone?”
Catherine: “Yes, that’s basically what it comes down to, yes.”
Spontaneity
Marco is happy that Catherine did come to Omroep Flevoland. “You are always a nice guest to have anyway, because of course you just have your heart on your sleeve.”
Catherine: “Yes, but of course it’s not all just spontaneity, is it, because I do have a huge experience of course. I have worked as a reporter all over the world for fifteen years. A lot of people have forgotten that. Yes, of course I experienced a few things there.”
A blonde
While Viola is now being dismissed by people as someone who has lost her senses, Catherine does not want to see that happen in her case. She points to her experience as a journalist. “At Here and Now and at Avro’s Televizier.”
“It’s always about The 5 Hours Show and Catherine. Of course, those were also very interesting programs that I wouldn’t have wanted to miss for the world, but I’m not, let’s just say, a blonde or anything.”
