As a teenager she carried around clandestine magazines and smuggled letters. At the age of 19, she was declared dead by her parents and she went into hiding from the Germans in her parental home for a year. Just shy of her 101st birthday and because there is a burning smell hanging over the world again, the great-grandchildren of Catherine Fleurus want meme finally talks about her turbulent teenage years with the resistance. Her advice for 2024: “We have to prepare in time for that Russian.”
