The famous catering magnate Won Yip hopes that the towering Jandino Asporaat does not forget about running a chicken joint. “There is still a hype.”
Jandino Asporaat has opened a chicken joint somewhere in Rotterdam called FC Kip, a reference to a section from his former NPO program De Dino Show. Also a handy way to circumvent the salary ceiling at the public broadcaster. A lot of people come who are fans of the comedian; there are even queues.

Jandino now shouts in front of every camera that he wants to open a second chicken joint and he is probably already dreaming about chicken shops throughout the Netherlands. But isn’t the comedian going a little too fast?
Catering mogul Won Yip, one of the largest catering operators in Amsterdam, fears so. According to him, it is not a given that the enormous initial interest in Jandino’s chicken joint automatically means that this will last forever. And he warns him about this in an article The Telegraph.
‘Still too uncertain’
Won doesn’t put his hands in the fire about it. “I know Jandino personally, he has a great goodwill factor and perseverance, it could just work in the big cities, but I think the long-term shelf life (at least five years) is still too uncertain.”
He concludes: “Rotterdam is his home base and the distance is now manageable and there is still a hype, but he increases his chances of success if he commits 100% (all-in) to this.”
