“The situation has triggered us extra to check more strictly,” says Brigitte van Regteren of Stadscafé Oasis and Murphy’s Pub. “Previously there was a random search at the pub, that is different now. It has now become quite standard. Visitors understand it,” explains the owner. “Whoever doesn’t want to be searched probably has something to hide. In that case, that person does not belong in the nightlife”, says Van Regteren. “There is always security at the door.”
