Cat injured by fire in butcher’s shop in Amsterdam East

A fire broke out in a butcher’s shop on Krugerstraat in Amsterdam East around 8:30 p.m. A cat inhaled so much smoke that the animal was in very bad shape, according to a fire brigade spokesperson.

The fire released a lot of smoke. Three people therefore had to be checked by ambulance personnel, but did not have to be taken to hospital.

According to the fire brigade, a cat is in worse shape. The animal was put on a ventilator by ambulance personnel until the animal ambulance arrived.

The fire is now under control again, but the cause is still unknown.
