“Cat-astrophic mistake”: traveler accidentally places cat under airport scanner | Abroad

At the American airport in Virginia, a striking object appeared on the screen of the security officer. A traveler left the cat in her carrier bag and placed the animal under the X-ray scanner. The TSA reminds travelers “not to put pets under the X-ray scanner.”

The carry bag was then x-rayed and a very large orange spot appeared on the screen during security. In the photo, the cat’s internal organs and bones are clearly visible.

If you want to take a pet on a flight, it is recommended to take the animal out of its carrier bag and walk together through a regular scanner during the security check. This way you prevent your pet from being unnecessarily exposed to such radiation.
