In the new drama series The year of Fortuyn (AVROTROS) focuses on the election campaign of 2002. That went between the flamboyant newcomer Pim Fortuyn (Jeroen Spitzenberger), who shook The Hague and in fact the whole of the Netherlands, and PvdA party leader Ad Melkert (Ramsey Nasr), the representative of the ‘old’ politics. “Whether you’re pro or anti-Fortuyn, I hope you get to know the other side too.”
