After “emma”, “real from below / zoé freestyle” and “Sommer”, Casper is releasing the fourth single from his new album NUR LIEBE, ALMER, which will be released on November 24th. Together with the song “sowas from da (wide awake)”, the rapper also delivers an accompanying music video.
Actress Lena Klenke plays the main character in the clip. With a tight crotch and a hood hanging low over her face, the protagonist goes to the hospital in search of pills. “My demons and I are wide awake,” Casper sings about a sleepless night, addressing the helplessness that comes with suffering from mental health problems – a topic that is very close to the rapper’s heart.
Although no official tracklist for the new record has been released yet, Casper describes his new work in more detail in an Instagram post. “Every song on the album has its own sound, its own little world and yet in the end everything comes together to form a journey and a story,” says the musician.
