Many German rap fans are eagerly awaiting Casper’s sixth album NUR LIEBE, IMMER, which is due to be released in autumn. With the pre-single “sommer” the musician from North Rhine-Westphalia delivers another foretaste. Also present as a guest rapper: the always masked Cro from Stuttgart.
The album teaser is not the artists’ first collaboration. The two were already heard on the track “Nie wieder” in 2012, when Cro was just starting with his debut album ROAP. However, the song was never officially released and since then has only been around as a bootleg on YouTube. But now two of Germany’s best-known rappers want to know, and with “summer” they will really get in the mood for the warm season.
After “emma” “sommer” is the second pre-single of the sixth Casper record. Already on his previous work, EVERYTHING WAS BEAUTIFUL AND NOTHING HURT, the rapper proved his versatility. The reward was a first place in the German and Austrian album charts. In order to advertise the new record, he played live at the Hurricane Festival in Scheeßel in June 2023. ONLY LOVE, ALWAYS but won’t be out until November 24th. After that he will play a single Germany show for the new album – on June 15, 2024 in Bielefeld.
After his two successful albums TRIP and 11:11, Cro has “only” released two more songs on Valentine’s Day.
