Casablanca is the next brand to land an installation and collection at the Corner Shop, the pop-up space of London luxury department store Selfridges.
Under the motto ‘Casa Airways’, the Parisian brand will take over the corner shop and three of the large shop windows, Casablanca announced. As the name suggests, everything revolves around aviation and the area becomes the departure hall. Airport signage from the 1990s, security and customs controls, and pieces from a private jet set illustrate the theme.
“Casablanca is the unstoppable modern luxury brand of tomorrow and we are proud to support it with this unique retail concept,” said Bosse Myhr, Director of Womenswear and Menswear at Selfridges. “Casa Airways will bring Casablanca’s clear vision for RTW and accessories to life at Selfridges Corner Shop, through a collection and experience inspired by the golden age of travel.”
For the range, the brand relies on a 45-piece capsule – featuring pieces such as bikinis, beach towels and products made from silk – from the FW22 collection. There will also be an exclusive pre-sale of the Casablanca collaboration with Globetrotter, offering a selection of luggage.
“The collection is inspired by my hometown and the elegance of the golden age of travel in the ’90s, when every single detail was carefully curated,” said Casablanca Creative Director Charaf Tajer. “Selfridges has supported Casablanca since our first collection, so creating this capsule and space was a natural fit.”
Another highlight is the champagne bar, where the brand’s own champagne can be tasted.
Casa Airways has been waiting for customers for departure since Monday and can still be accessed in the Selfridges Corner Shop until September 4th.
