Carrie ten Napel tipped as the new presenter Boerzoekt Vrouw

Yvon Jaspers seems to be a bit past her peak: the viewing figures of Boerzoekt Vrouw have collapsed and she is sometimes very nasty to those farmers. Who would be a good successor?

People seem to be a bit Yvon Jaspers-tired. The presenter always acts very strangely towards her dating farmers – she speaks to them as if they were toddlers and was bizarrely mean to that poor farmer Haico – and now that the viewing figures of Boerzoekt Vrouw are on the rise, the question arises who is a would be a good successor.

Childish tone

Private boss Evert Santegoeds lets in Show news none other than star analyst Tina Nijkamp speaks about this situation. “Tina’s expertise in this area is not just one, but twofold, because not only is she a television specialist, but she also comes from a farmer’s background. He knows what it’s like.”

What about then? Tina: “I actually understand the criticism of Yvon Jaspers a bit. She sometimes acts a bit childish towards those candidates and also seems less interested. I personally think Farmer Seeks Woman has become a lot more boring than before and I think that’s because of B&B Vol Liefde, right? We are now used to a lot of dynamics.”

Carrie as successor?

Tina thinks the broom has to go through Farmer Wants a Woman. “I was watching again on Sunday and I thought: gosh, this is suddenly moving slowly. After B&B Vol Liefde it actually turns out that sometimes we don’t need a presenter at all, for programs. And Farmer Seeks Woman may also be one of those programs.”

Yvon might just be replaced by a voice-over, says Tina. “And if a new presenter is needed, should Yvon Jaspers ever drop out, then I personally think Carrie ten Napel is a very suitable candidate.”

‘She continues!’

Tooske Ragas finds it intense that Yvon’s succession is already being discussed, she told the Shownieuws desk. “Oh, she’s moving along nicely. Completely clear.”

Evert: “Yes, certainly. But KRO-NCRV remains firmly behind their chief farmer, Yvon Jaspers. She has done it for twenty years to her complete satisfaction and that will not change because things are now going wrong for a while. No, nothing changes at all. Carrie ten Napel doesn’t have to warm up around the haystack yet.”

Mind you

It will remain the same for a while, Evert expects. “Maybe they will at most take some measures for the next season, but if I taste the reactions, it is also with Yvon Jaspers.”

He concludes: “Yvon no longer attracts 3 million viewers, but more than 1, plus delayed viewing and then she also has 1.5. It’s a lot less, but to put it all on her. Or is it some tiredness after twenty years, mind you, Farmer Wants a Woman? That could also be possible.”
