A sun-drenched carnival Sunday in Brabant was celebrated exuberantly with a cold beer and a broad smile on the face. After two years without our folk festival, we can finally join the polonaise again. View the photos of this carnival day here.
In Kruikenstad it was already pleasantly busy early in the afternoon. Full streets, happy people, ready for the green/orange folk festival. In the Stadhuisstraat you could go early for a croquette sandwich with a schrobbelèr, a little further there was dancing to live music.
In Döllekesgat (Oisterwijk) it was swinging and swinging on the Lind. Young and old enjoyed the carnival atmosphere. The ladies of percussion group Hardslag also enjoyed it, after they had previously given a spectacular performance.
Pezerikkengat (Hilvarenbeek) took it a little easier. A group of revelers gathered there on the Vrijthof. The carnival car of CV Stitch ônder Waoter was also on display. The group took part in a nearby parade with walking groups on Saturday.
In D’n Haozenpot (Udenhout) the roof came off at the Mega Outdoor Carnival Party. A successful mix of apres-ski and carnival. Four thousand hardstyle fans showed how happy they were that they could finally party again.
