Carlos Sainz has received a visit from his son and his wife Reyes in Saudi Arabia and has been able to give them their first victory in the Dakar

Carlos Sainz Jr.accompanied by his mother Reyes, celebrated New Year’s Eve at the Dakar bivouac in Yanbu and was able to witness live the first victory of his father Carlos Sainz in the 45th edition of the rally, which places him as the provisional leader of the general classification.
Sainz, a Ferrari F1 driver, even got behind the wheel of the impressive Audi RS Q e-tron E2 that his father drives and with which he hopes to achieve what would be his fourth ‘Toaureg’ with a fourth different make. Among others, the moment was ‘immortalized’ by Sainz’s co-driver, Lucas Cruz from Barcelona.
Sainz Júnior’s presence went unnoticed on the afternoon of December 31 because the Audi team has its ‘base’ in one of the corners of the camp. The team had dinner at 7:00 p.m. and organized a special barbecue to celebrate the New Year. But this Sunday the Ferrari driver came to congratulate his father for the victory in the first stage and both monopolized the flashes.
“We hope it will be a good year. Today has started very well for the Sainz family. I hope it will also be a beautiful year for me and for Ferrari,” said Carlos Júnior.
