The medical team that watches over Carlos Alcaraz carried out an exam yesterday to determine the extent of the injury that forced him to withdraw from the quarterfinal match at the Paris-Bercy Masters 1,000 against Holger Rune. During the first set that he lost, he began to notice some problems in his abdomen that prevented him from serving well. Doctor Juan José López Martínez and physical trainer Juan José Moreno were with the player yesterday, determining that he suffers from a muscle tear in the internal oblique musculature of the left lateral abdominal wall.
