Carlos Alcaraz misses Australian Open due to injury after ‘unnatural movement’ | Tennis

Alcaraz says he was injured in an ‘unnatural movement’ during a training. “It’s tough, but I have to be optimistic, recover and look ahead. See you in 2024 Australian Open,” the tennis player writes on social media.

Alcaraz has participated in the Australian Open twice so far. On his debut in 2021 he made it to the second round and last year he went out in the third round.

Alcaraz won the US Open last year and then became the youngest player ever to reach the highest position in the world rankings.
