Carlo Boszhard always acts incredibly hysterical as a panelist in The Masked Singer. He often opens his mouth very wide and makes silly noises. Is that real or not?
The ratings hit in which disguised celebrities sing songs is back on the air: The Masked Singer. And that means that we also have a lot shots of a hysterical Carlo Boszhard. At the end of each episode, the corners of his mouth are just barely torn out, but it doesn’t make much difference.
Carlo defends himself
Will Carlo place a Labello stick on his desk from now on or will he keep quiet a little more? That last thing. “The makers are not blind to criticism from viewers,” can be read today The Telegraph. “The suits are more spectacular than ever, and Boszhard promises to listen to the people who think he is too surprised to react to the revelations.”
Huh? Is he playing a role if he acts so hysterical? No, he answers himself. “I understand the criticism. You just have to imagine that after a long evening we only record the reveal of a character around midnight. If we have guessed someone correctly, I will go crazy. The emotion you see in me is real.”
Ideal shaker
In any case, Carlo’s job is not in danger for the time being. However, a fifth panel member will be added: Monica Geuze. And he really likes that. “A program always needs to be shaken up to stay fresh, and she has proven to be the ideal shaker.”
Obviously Monica is put there because three of the four judges quite senior are: in addition to Carlo, also Gerard Joling and Loretta Schrijver. “It’s nice to see that Geuze recognizes the young stars. But when Marga Bult’s name is mentioned, she has no idea.”
8 p.m
Everyone can see how Monica does it from tonight at 8 p.m. on RTL 4. Then the new season of The Masked Singer starts. We will hear how it scored tomorrow morning on Tina Nijkamp’s ratings channel.
