Carlo and Irene back as a TV duo? ‘We want to go back at this time’

Where Carlo Boszhard is still an A-star, Irene Moors is sinking further and further into the star alphabet. Yet he is still open to doing another show with her. “At this time.”

For fifteen years it was a great success on the Sunday afternoon of RTL 4: the talk show of Carlo Boszhard and Irene Moors. Suddenly she was ready for a new challenge. She left Carlo, switched to SBS 6 and there she was able to pack her things after a few years full of flops. Today, she’s banging shuffleboard on TV shows and starring in lottery commercials.

Back on Sunday?

Carlo is open to pulling Irene out of the valley again and reviving their TV duoship. “A lot of people are now saying: ‘Go and do that Sunday afternoon together.’ But I don’t know how you think about it. I don’t think there is an audience for it. Well? Should we do it again?” he says in the online section Back To Then.

Irene then says: “We also stopped this program at the peak, because there was a lot of competition. The streaming services became more popular, sports were there. There was always the Olympics in my experience. It wasn’t, but it seemed that way. No, there is just enough alternative on Sunday. No, I don’t think it would work now.”

Friday evening?

At what point does Irene, who apparently still has notes on her vocals, really like it? Carlo: “Sunday evening? Friday evening?”

Irene: “Yes, Friday night. Or Sunday morning. I like it too.”

Carlo: “I would also like Sunday morning.”

Irene: “But Sunday afternoon is too busy.”

“I miss Irene!”

Carlo doesn’t need that TV duoship with Irene anymore, does he? “Of course I always miss Irene. It’s always more fun with Irene, so yes, I would love to do something with Irene. But we have a nice plan. More about that soon.”

Irene: “Are you going to shout that again?! I do miss the Sunday afternoon atmosphere. It was also a different time. Because it was so much fun then, let it stay that way in everyone’s mind.”
