Real Madrid arrived in Helsinki on Tuesday for the Uefa Super Cup final.
Team manager Carlo Ancelotti praised Finland at a press conference on Tuesday.
– I am here for the first time. A very beautiful place. I like Canada a lot and there are similarities here. The Finnish national team has had great results and this is a historic stadium where the Olympics have been held, Ancelotti said at the press conference, according to Marca.
– A lot of Eintracht supporters are coming, but they wear white, so there will be a lot of that color in the stands. We can think of them cheering for Real Madrid.
Real Madrid beat Liverpool in last season’s Champions League final. The team’s midfield maestro Luka Modric stated that the team also wants to win the Super Cup.
– Every trophy is important to us. I remember last time we lost this to Atletico (Madrid) and we don’t want to go through that again.
Ancelotti tripped his protégé.
– If we win, I’m happy, if we don’t win, I’m sad. We are going to do everything we can to win.
