Through his contributions to film, television, the arts and sport, he has left an indelible mark and is recognized around the world and across generations. He was a beloved brother, father, grandfather, companion and friend.”

Born in New Orleans on January 14, 1948, Carl Weathers has starred in more than 75 films and many TV shows. His 50-year career has also led him to cover iconic roles, such as that of Apollo Creed in Rocky, in the first (1976), second (1979) and third (1982) films of the saga.
