Carim table linen: the art of dressing the home with style and quality

How did the idea of combining table linen, linen, crockery and accessories for the home in the same place come about?

The first items we marketed were tablecloths. Observing the movement of the market, I saw that it was a difficult item to obtain, especially to supply the events sector. With that in mind, I later decided to add crockery and glassware, since they are complementary products and with a greater market outlet.

We were in a good moment and we began to grow, until the pandemic arrived. We had to reinvent ourselves because we were one of the last areas to return to normality, at that time it was the most uncertain and at the same time the most creative. We add to our stock for sale: white goods, deco and home.

The secret lies in diversification and by offering a variety of products in the same space, you can attract different types of customers and satisfy multiple purchasing needs.

What products are the best sellers and why do you think they are successful?

Each item that we market has its star product, in table linen it is still the tablecloth for events, in crockery the plates, in linens the sheets. I believe that success lies in understanding and meeting customer needs, achieving a balance between price and quality.

What challenges did you face in starting this business and how did you overcome them?

When I arrived from Mendoza, I did not have financial or infrastructure resources, however, I always kept my vision regarding what would be the challenge I faced: to undertake, position myself and grow.

Over time, I gained experience and skills that helped me overcome challenges more effectively to keep working on my goals. The key is to have ambition, confidence, projection and management of uncertainty.

What advice would you give someone who wants to start a business similar to yours?

First of all, it is to have faith in what you undertake, then visualize the strategies that you are going to use and most importantly, take it into action.

Prepare a detailed business plan that includes your vision, mission, objectives, marketing strategies, financial analysis and an action plan

What strategies do you use to attract and retain your customers?

Social networks are the window to the world.

The sales system has evolved and 90% of sales are online, especially after the pandemic. Listening to the customer is essential before and after the sale.
