With the message of 29 October 2025, INPS announced that the definitive lists of beneficiaries are now available to the Municipalities of residence. This means that each Municipality will be able to contact eligible citizens and provide them with all the information for collecting the card. The institute has thus completed the verification and control phase of the requirementsstarted in September. From this moment, therefore, the measure becomes fully operational.
What is the “Dedicated to you” card
The Card Dedicated to you is a nominative prepaid card distributed by Poste Italiane, which allows beneficiaries to purchase basic food supplies. It is a measure managed in collaboration with INPS and the Municipalities. The amount allocated for 2025 remains 500 euros for each family unit. This is not a new initiative: the bonus was introduced in 2023 and also renewed in 2024. The list of beneficiaries is updated every year based on the most recent data on the ISEE, the Equivalent Economic Situation Indicator, which photographs the economic condition of Italian families.

How to know if you are entitled to financial support
Citizens do not have to apply: the selection takes place automatically, based on the data already in possession of the INPS and the Revenue Agency. The Municipality will communicate to citizens their inclusion among the beneficiariesalso specifying the identification number associated with the card used for the withdrawal and management of the prepaid card.
How to collect the “Dedicated to you” card
The collection methods change depending on the case:
- if you are receiving the card for the first timeyou will have to go to the post office indicated by the Municipality, bringing with you a valid identity document and the identification number communicated. The withdrawal can also be carried out by a delegate with written authorization.
- those who have already received the card in previous yearshowever, you will not have to do anything: the new amount of 500 euros will be automatically credited to the same card you already have.
Once withdrawn, the card must be activated by making the first payment by 16 December 2025. If it is not used by that date, the right to the bonus will be lost.
What can you buy
The contribution can only be used for the purchase of basic necessities: the measure, in fact, is designed to guarantee families concrete help in covering food costsleaving everything else out. But what exactly falls into this category? Foods for daily use, such as:
- bread, pasta and rice
- milk and derivatives, such as yogurt, butter and cheese
- meat, fish and eggs
- fresh or frozen fruit and vegetables
- oil, flour, sugar, salt and dried or canned legumes
- products for early childhood, such as baby food and powdered milk
In practice, the card allows you to put in your trolley what you need for “basic” food shopping, useful for composing daily meals. It can be used in supermarkets, hypermarkets, discount stores and grocery stores that join the card circuit (those affiliated with Poste Italiane or that accept Mastercard prepaid cards).
“Dedicated to you” card: help yes, but not enough
The Card Dedicated to you is certainly a useful support, even if it can hardly be considered a sufficient response to the real needs of the most fragile Italian families. The contribution of 500 euros arrives once a year and, with skyrocketing prices, it is equivalent, in many cases, to two or three complete expenses at the supermarket, especially for large families. In short, it helps, but does not have a lasting impact on household budgets. However, the symbolic value remains important: the State tries, at least in a small part, to ease the difficulties, at least on the necessary goods, of thousands of families. With the publication of the final lists, the assignment process ends the operational phase opens, bringing a small breath of fresh air to the families who need it most.
