A 53-year-old man from Eindhoven was arrested on Friday morning. He is suspected of stealing a car last Saturday with two children in the backseat.
The car was parked at a canoe launch site. The suspect took advantage of an unguarded moment to get into the unlocked car and make off with it. Police suspect that the man overlooked the children in the backseat.
The stolen car was found on Sporkenhoutlaan in Eindhoven. The suspect was nowhere to be seen. The children were still unharmed in the backseat. The man has been arrested and is still in custody.
