Car steals biker’s right of way – Sozia (10) critically injured

A 43-year-old motorcyclist and his 10-year-old daughter were critically injured in a traffic accident in the Alt-Hohenschönhausen district of Berlin-Lichtenberg.

As the police announced on Saturday, a 62-year-old collided with his motorcycle on Friday afternoon at the intersection of Witzenhauser Strasse and Ferdinand-Schultze-Strasse.

Rescue workers took the critically injured to a hospital for treatment. The 62-year-old driver was also taken to a hospital and released after outpatient care.

According to initial findings, the 43-year-old motorcyclist should have the right of way on Ferdinand-Schultze-Straße. Police are still investigating the exact cause of the accident.
