Serious accident in Mariendorf between a BVG bus and a VW Golf. There were several seriously injured people.

Late on Saturday evening around 11:30 p.m. there was a serious accident on the Lankwitzer Bridge in Mariendorf: the driver of a VW Golf (21) first crashed into a parked truck and then hurled himself into a BVG bus.

The driver was on Kamenzer Damm coming from Wedellstrasse towards Großbeerenstrasse. At the level of the Lankwitzer Bridge, the driver lost control of the vehicle and hit a truck parked on the right side of the road.

This is said to have caused the car to spin – it went into oncoming traffic! The car crashed into the oncoming bus and was pushed against another parked truck.
