Last night, a motorist made a mistake on the A32 between Meppel and Staphorst due to an unknown cause. At the Lankhorst junction she lost control of her car and drove onto the verge.
Because the woman lost control, the car overturned, but eventually ended up on four wheels in a wide ditch.
The driver managed to get out of the car herself. She was checked into an ambulance and treated for her injuries. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
After the accident, one lane of the A32 was temporarily closed. A tow truck removed the car from the ditch and towed it away. The road was then reopened.
